On Wednesday, July 18, was held a meeting of a member of the House of Commons, David Miliband, the British Ambassador in Russia, Tim Barrow, the Political Counselor of the British Embassy in Moscow, Fergus Auld with the President of the Russian International Affairs Council, Igor Ivanov, General Director of RIAC, Andrei Kortunov and the Head of the Center for British Studies, Alexei Gromyko.

In course of the discussion, the parties touched upon a number of sensitive issues: the current state of international relations, political processes in the Middle East, problems of nuclear proliferation, relations between Russia and the EU and the prospects of Russian - British cooperation.

A special item of the discussion was RIAC’s partnership with academic and expert organizations in the UK.
