July 18, in the Russian International Affairs Council there was an expert meeting on problems of bilateral relations between Russia and India. The participants of the discussion mentioned, that the high potential of Russian – Indian relations is not fully used. The RIAC, bringing together representatives of business organizations and specialized agencies, could contribute to the further development of relations between the two countries.

July 18, in the Russian International Affairs Council there was an expert meeting on problems of bilateral relations between Russia and India. The meeting was attended by Army General, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, V.Trubnikov; chief research officer of The Institute of World Economy and International Relations, A.Volodin; professor of Oriental Studies of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, S.Lunev; the President of RIAC, I.Ivanov; General Director, A.Kortunov and RIAC’s Program Director, I.Timofeev.

The participants of the discussion mentioned, that the high potential of Russian – Indian relations is not fully used. The RIAC, bringing together representatives of business organizations and specialized agencies, could contribute to the further development of relations between the two countries.

As a consequence of the meeting, it was decided to hold a series of seminars with the participation of Russian experts on the subject of economic relations and military-technical cooperation, regional and international issues of bilateral relations, as well as cooperation in education, culture, science and public diplomacy. It the end of the workshop, some concrete proposals and recommendations will be put forward.
