On May 16, RIAC President Igor Ivanov met Samuel Richard "Sandy" Berger, National Security Advisor under President Clinton (1997-2001) to discuss the current status and outlook for Russian-American relations, situation around Syria, and common problems of international security. RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov, RAND Center for Russia and Eurasia Andrew Weiss and Senior Advisor of Albright Stonebridge Group Yevgeny Zvedre also participated.
