On October 23, 2023, an online seminar “Chinese-Russian relations in the modern geopolitical landscape: opportunities and challenges” was held. The seminar was organized by the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and the Grandview Institution.

During the event leading Russian and Chinese experts presented the views of Moscow and Beijing on global geopolitical trends and discussed opportunities for Sino-Russian interaction in the international arena amidst a changing world order. In addition, during the seminar, current trends in relations between China and the United States were discussed in the context of the ongoing trade war and increasing competition in the field of advanced technology.

The event was attended by Ivan Timofeev, RIAC Director General, Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Academic Director, Andrey Karneev, Head of the School of Asian Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Anastasia Pyatachkova, Deputy Head of CCEIS Asia-Pacific Department at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Shi Yinhong, member of the Academic Committee of the Grandview Institution, Director of the Center for American Studies at the People's University of China, Miao Zhongquan, invited researcher at the Grandview Institution. The discussion was chaired by He An, Secretary General of the Grandview Institution and Director of the Center for South Asian Studies.
