On June 6, RIAC President Igor Ivanov and RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov received RIAC Member Mikhail Margelov, Chairman of the International Affairs Committee at the Federation Council and Special Envoy of Russian President on Cooperation with African States.

The participants discussed promising areas for bilateral cooperation including joint events on key issues of Russia's foreign policy and international relations, refinement of mechanisms for employment of foreign experience for socio-economic development of Russia's regions, etc., with the focus on RIAC's plans in the field of African research.
