On January 27, 2022, Karim Atassi, Head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representation in Russia, visited Russian International Affairs Council.

The discussion focused on possible areas of cooperation between RIAC and UNHCR regarding the problems of refugees and forced migrants in regional conflicts zones, including Afghanistan, Syria, Mali, etc.
