On June 1, 2021, the Elcano Royal Institute held an online workshop on relations between Russia and the United States during Joe Biden Presidency.

The following issues were discussed within the workshop: the general state of Russia-the U.S. relations, areas of concern, areas of possible interaction. Special attention was paid to the upcoming summit of the presidents of Russia and the United States in June and its possible outcomes.

Natalia Vyakhireva, Ph.D. in Political Science, RIAC Program Manager, and Cyrus Newlin, Associate Fellow with the Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program at the Washington Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), spoke at the workshop. The event was moderated by Mira Milosevic, Senior Analyst for Russia and Eurasia at the Elcano Royal Institute.

The workshop was attended by experts from think tanks and universities from Spain and other EU countries, representatives of Spanish departments.
