On April 18-20, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, a RIAC corporate member, held conference “Russia and European Union: the Dynamics of the Relationship” aimed to adjust the research of Europe experts and accentuate the significance of the European vector in Russia’s foreign policy.

On April 18-20, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, a RIAC corporate member, held conference “Russia and European Union: the Dynamics of the Relationship” aimed to adjust the research of Europe experts and accentuate the significance of the European vector in Russia’s foreign policy.

The event was attended by leading Russian and foreign scholars in European studies, who were addressed by Kant University Rector Andrey Klemeshev, European Parliament member Yustas Paletskis and Institute of Europe Deputy Director Aleksey Gromyko, President of Association of European Studies and RIAC member.

The Conference dwelled on such important issues as the Russia-EU common space of freedom, security and justice, the bilateral visa-free regime, and partnership for modernization.

RIAC was represented by Program Manager Natalia Evtikhevich and Program Coordinator Daria Khaspekova, who described our activities with the focus on Europe-related projects.

RIAC’s participation in the Conference has been a major step in development of its European projects to fine-tune the research and open new tracks for cooperation with Europe analysts.
