On November 6-8, 2015, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov attended the 12th Beijing Forum convened under the auspices of the China’s State Council and Ministry of Education and Science at the Beijing University with support of the Beijing Municipal Commission on Education and Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies.

On November 6-8, 2015, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov attended the 12th Beijing Forum convened under the auspices of the China’s State Council and Ministry of Education and Science at the Peking University with support of the Beijing Municipal Commission on Education and Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies.

Held annually under the cross-cutting theme “Harmony and Prosperity of Civilizations,” the event is known as the oldest and most prestigious Chinese platform for international dialogue on history, culture and interaction of civilizations, with over 4,000 scholars, experts, statesmen, and civil society members having taken part in its work since 2004. RIAC joined the process in 2013.

The sub-theme of this year was “Different Roads with Common Responsibilities” to reflect the key trends in this year. Dr. Kortunov spoke at session titled “Construction of the Road to Peace: Historic Responsibility and Multitude of Historic Narratives.”
