On October 25, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov and RIAC Member Dmitry Trenin held a meeting with Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Yasumasa Nagamine, which was also attended by the officials of the European Affairs Bureau of the Foreign Ministry of Japan and Japanese embassy to Moscow.

The participants discussed various aspects of Russia's foreign policy, Russian-Japanese relations, and overall situation in Northeast Asia and Asia Pacific. The Japanese side was also informed about current and future RIAC projects on Asia Pacific issues.
