RIAC General Director Andrei Kortunov on 16 November met in Washington, D.C., with National Strategy Advisor, Chevron Corporation, Jan Kalicki and Russia and Eurasia Program Director, Carnegie Foundation for International Peace, former U.S. Ambassador to Russia James Collins.

They discussed cooperation of the three organizations in the development of Russian-American interaction in the Asia-Pacific Region in the context of Russia’s accession to the WTO and the end of the year of Russia’s chair in the APEC. The participants reached an agreement to work on joint projects, and to convene a Russian-American expert conference on Asia-Pacific issues scheduled for 2013.
