The three-volume anthology titled “Migration in Russia: 2000-2012” prepared by the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) came off the press on April 2, 2013. It contains articles and book abstracts from a number of Russian and foreign researchers of migration in 2000-2012. Major work of RIAC experts and members aimed at preparing the edition manifested itself in the 5 volumes of the anthology.
The first volume of the edition contains three parts (books) devoted to the problems of migration and current tendencies in this area that have emerged during the first decade of the XXI century.
The second volume gives the analysis of the pertinent questions of migration legislation and migration policy. Texts of the main documents regulating the migration processes can be found in the annex.
The third volume constitutes a collection of bibliographic descriptions of books, articles and reports on migration that have been published in Russia over the past 12 years.
Given the broad range of the questions of migration covered in the anthology, the authors decided to define 34 sections. Each of them contains an opening article of the leading expert in the field. The materials have been prepared especially for the Russian Foreign Affairs Council, and in this regard the anthology is the most ample collection of contemporary material, including the latest publications on all the aspects of migration and its impact on today’s Russian society.
The anthology is intended for students, scholars, experts, journalists and politicians interested in or dealing with the issue of migration.
