Following the request of the Russian Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation, on June 24, 2014, RIAC leaders met young civil and political activists from Luxembourg who came to Moscow under the Russian President’s program “Young Generation” aimed to familiarize foreign public opinion makers with the scientific, socio-political, economic and cultural potential of modern Russia.

Following the request of the Russian Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation, on June 24, 2014, RIAC leaders met young civil and political activists from Luxembourg who came to Moscow under the Russian President’s program “Young Generation” aimed to familiarize foreign public opinion makers with the scientific, socio-political, economic and cultural potential of modern Russia. 

During the event held at the RIAC headquarters, Deputy Program Director Timur Makhmutov told the guests about RIAC specifics, scope of activities, projects and publications. The audience was most interested in cooperation between Russia and the European Union in the context of Ukraine crisis, particularly in bilateral dialogue scenarios with the account of situational nuances. The participants also discussed the future of Russia’s Arctic policy in the international dimension, as well as prospects for relationships with such southern neighbors as Turkey and Iran. 

The Luxembourg delegation agreed to advance interaction with Russian think tanks specializing in international issues.
