“It is extremely difficult for regional universities these days to integrate themselves into the global network and establish a dialogue with Russian and international representatives of the academic community. The Russian International Affairs Council serves as a connecting link between these communities, and it is through the work of the RIAC that such work has become possible,” Igor Zhukovsky commented.
October 6 also saw a meeting with the Head of International and Interregional Relations of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region, Alla Ivanova. The meeting was organized with the support of Baltic Federal University management, represented by Vice Rector Igor Zhukovsky. Those present discussed promising areas of cooperation between RIAC and the regional authorities in close collaboration with the University.
In the coming days, RIAC experts will conduct training courses as part of the A+ Standard, the aim of which is to make the Baltic Federal University website more accessible for foreign audiences.
