On April 9, 2014 RIAC President Igor Ivanov, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov and RIAC Program Manager Natalia Evtikhevich visited the headquarters of the Atlantic Council in Washington, DC, to discuss the current status of Russia-U.S. relations in the context of Ukraine crisis. Regarding the Ukraine crisis as a turning point in the entire global security system, the participants pledged to continue cooperation at the second-track tier and underlined the need to seek ways for developing the bilateral relations in the new environment.

The U.S. was represented by Brent Scowcroft Center Vice Chairman Ellen Tauscher, Atlantic Council President and CEO Frederick Kempe, Senior Fellow at the SAIS Center for Transatlantic Relations Hans Binnendijk, Vice President of theCarnegie Corporation Diana Arsenyan, Vice Chairman of Brent Scowcroft Center Walter Slocombe, and Senior Fellow of Brent Scowcroft Center Isabelle Françoise

Regarding the Ukraine crisis as a turning point in the entire global security system, the participants pledged to continue cooperation at the second-track tier and underlined the need to seek ways for developing the bilateral relations in the new environment.
