On June 9, 2014 in Moscow, RIAC and Russian Foundation for Fundamental Research (RFFR) signed a cooperation agreement. Assistance to Russian structures in international science and technology cooperation is a task shared by both organizations, the accords will serve the mutual interests and promote joint projects for advancement of Russia's interests and image as a global scientific power. Such efforts will include joint scientific conferences, roundtables and other events aimed to bolster international scientific cooperation with Russian participation within the SCO, BRICS, APEC and relevant EU programs.

RIAC and RFFR also agreed to help the latter and other Russian research organizations in engaging in cooperation with foreign think tanks and research centers involved in analysis of international scientific cooperation.
