Moscow will host the second Asia-Pacific Forum “Russia’s presidency in APEC and the new prospects of Russia’s integration in the Asia-Pacific Region”. The event will take place from 12 to 13 October. The Forum is being organized by the Russian International Affairs Council in partnership with the Russian APEC Research Center and the International Affairs Journal.

Asia-Pacific Forum is a community of public authorities, business people, scientists, experts, and non-governmental organizations – all those who are directly involved in the development of political and economic relations in this vast region.

Moscow hosted the first Forum in 2011. Its outcome was favorably received and taken into account by the relevant Russian authorities during preparation for the 2012 APEC Summit in Vladivostok. The objective of the Second Forum is to discuss, on a “working” level, how best to implement the agreements that were reached at the APEC Summit in Vladivostok, from the perspective of creating an enabling environment for greater integration of Russia into the Asia-Pacific Region.

The Forum will be held in plenary sessions and in a series of topical sections, each of which will be represented by agencies, specialized companies, and leading Russian and foreign experts.

We invite the academic community, business, non-profit organizations, and specialized agencies working on regional issues to participate in the Forum sections.

Please email your application to: welcome@russiancouncil.ru (with the subject – Second Asia-Pacific Forum).
