On November 28–30, Moscow will host International Forum «Primakov Readings» in memory of Yevgeny Primakov, an outstanding politician, journalist, and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It will be the second forum (the first was held in October 2015). This year it is dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations, that is a key organizer of the readings along with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and Russian Science Foundation. Yury Ushakov, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, RIAC member, is the Chairman of the organizing committee this year.

Russian and foreign politicians, community leaders, foreign policy experts and journalists, as well as a large group of Russian International Affairs Council members will take part in the event. The Primakov Readings will bring together different speakers, foreign public officials and retired officials, who worked with Y.M. Primakov and knew him: L. Dini, former Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs; J. Solano, former NATO Secretary General; A. Moussa, former Arab League Secretary General, former Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs; J. Wolfensohn, former World Bank President, and other guests.

The readings are meant to carry on the tradition of public discussion of the most pending issues in world policy, world diplomacy, and multilateral cooperation development with the involvement of national and foreign experts, diplomatic personnel, officials, civil society representatives, and mass media.

Yevgeny Primakov was one of the RIAC founders, in 2011-2015 Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Russian International Affairs Council, took an active part in implementation of the most important projects, in RIAC’s strategy development, and in determining RIAC priorities.
