On July 29, 2019, Alexei Gromyko, Director of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, RIAC member, and Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, had a meeting with a group of European diplomats, including ambassadors from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, at the Belgian Embassy in Moscow.

On July 29, 2019, Alexei Gromyko, Director of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, RIAC member, and Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, had a meeting with a group of European diplomats, including ambassadors from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, at the Belgian Embassy in Moscow.

The following issues were discussed in the course of the meeting: possible areas for the development of the relations between Russia and the European Union in the context of the elections to the European Parliament held in May and the change of leaders in the European Commission and other EU bodies. Special attention was paid to the role of Russia and the European Union in resolving the conflict in eastern Ukraine, European security issues after the US withdrawal from the INF Treaty, the return of the Russian delegation to PACE, and the prospects for the development of the OSCE. The meeting was moderated by Jean-Arthur Régibeau, Ambassador of Belgium in Russia.
