On September 16, 2021, Asian Institute of Eco-civilization Research and Development in Islamabad (Pakistan) held a remote meeting of the international Kandahar Dialogue on Afghanistan’s search of peace and prosperity.

On September 16, 2021, Asian Institute of Eco-civilization Research and Development in Islamabad (Pakistan) held a remote meeting of the international Kandahar Dialogue on Afghanistan’s search of peace and prosperity.

Experts from Asia and Europe discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, the recognition of the new government in Kabul, humanitarian threat, country's need for economic assistance and search of possible trajectories for political development in Afghanistan. Other agenda issues included the role of multilateral institutions in the integration of Afghanistan into the global and Eurasian economy. Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, spoke at the event.
