Most of all, the deputies were interested in the status of the Russian research base in the humanities, and its potential for forecasting and scenario-making.

Dr. Timofeev’s presentation was part of the Helsinki visit by a group of RIAC experts who attended the international conference “Russia and the World” co-organized by Aleksanteri Institute, RIAC, Bertelsmann Foundation and a number of other institutions.
Regularly issuing a series of publications “The World in 100 Years” since April 2012, RIAC has provided a platform to leading Russian analysts for predictions of international affairs development, military advances, technological innovations, social subsystems, etc., which are all accessible at the RIAC website.
