On April 24, 2020, a regular Board of Trustees meeting of the International Crisis Group, an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to preventing and resolving deadly conflict, was held in an online format.

The following issues were addressed during the meeting: conflict situations in the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America amidst the onset of the economic crisis, falling oil prices, and the COVID-19 pandemic. The discussion also touched upon the likely consequences of the U.S. election campaign and the observed exacerbation of structural problems in the EU for the international security and strategic stability in the world.

Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, represented Russia at the International Crisis Group Board of Trustees meeting.
