On April 5, 2024, the discussion club of the Russia-Republic of South Korea Dialogue held a session dedicated to security issues in Northeast Asia. The keynote speeches were delivered by Anton Khlopkov, Director of the Center for Energy and Security Studies and RIAC Member, and Cha Du-hyeogn, Senior Research Fellow at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies in Seoul.

On April 5, 2024, the discussion club of the Russia-Republic of South Korea Dialogue held a session dedicated to security issues in Northeast Asia. The keynote speeches were delivered by Anton Khlopkov, Director of the Center for Energy and Security Studies and RIAC Member, and Cha Du-hyeogn, Senior Research Fellow at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies in Seoul. 

The debate session brought together Karin Kneissl, Austria’s former Foreign Minister (2017–2019) and Professor at St. Petersburg State University; Ilya Dyachkov, Associate Professor at MGIMO University; Gleb Toropchin, Associate Professor at Novosibirsk State Technical University; and Oleg Davydov, Senior Research Fellow at IMEMO RAS, as well as Ko Jae Nam, Director of Korea Eurasian Policy Institute; Ko Sang Tu, Professor Emeritus at Yonsei University; and Suh Dong Joo, President of Korea Eurasian Policy Institute. The session was chaired by Konstantin Khudoley, Professor at the School of International Relations of St. Petersburg State University and RIAC Member, and Eom Guh Ho, Director of Asia-Pacific Research Center at Hanyang University.

All participants spoke out for continuing the dialogue despite their diverging views.
