On December 12, RIAC received a Chinese Academy of Social Studies delegation, which included Professors Zhu Xiaozhong and Jiang Li, Institute of Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies, and Xu Wenhong, Deputy Secretary General, Center for One Belt One Road.

On December 12, RIAC received a Chinese Academy of Social Studies delegation, which included Professors Zhu Xiaozhong and Jiang Li, Institute of Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies, and Xu Wenhong, Deputy Secretary General, Center for One Belt One Road.

Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and Lyudmila Filippova, RIAC program manager, hosted  the Chinese counterparts.

The meeting covered the current state and prospects for development of Russia’s relations with the United States, Eastern European countries and the Baltic, as well as relevant aspects of Russia-China relations and the situation in the Asia-Pacific. Chinese guests were informed about the results of RIAC’s work on Chinese track in 2016 as well as the next year plans including the third international conference on Russia-China relations organization in May, 2017.

The parties confirmed mutual interest in continuing the collaboration between the RIAC and within the Memorandum on Cooperation between the two organizations signed in June, 2016.
