On July 13-15, 2016, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov took part in the Conference of Ambassadors in Tirana. The half-yearly event gathers the Albanian diplomatic corps, top figures of the foreign, defense and other ministries, as well as experts, officials of European organizations, diplomats and businesspersons. Russia was also represented by Minister-Counselor of Russia’s Embassy in Tirana Dmitry Kazmin.

On July 13-15, 2016, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov took part in the Conference of Ambassadors in Tirana.  

The half-yearly event gathers the Albanian diplomatic corps, top figures of the foreign, defense and other ministries, as well as experts, officials of European organizations, diplomats and businesspersons. Russia was also represented by Minister-Counselor of Russia’s Embassy in Tirana Dmitry Kazmin.        

The participants discussed security and development of the West Balkans, existing and potential threats to stability, the region’s role in the European and global systems of international relations, and improvement of foreign policy mechanisms and instruments. Dr. Kortunov delivered a report on Russia’s role in the Balkans.
