WISC 4th Global International Studies Conference Organizers announce the official launch of the website and the call for the upcoming 4th Global International Studies Conference of the World International Studies Committee (WISC).  It will take place in Frankfurt, Germany from 6-9 August 2014.

Details of the conference, including the official call for papers are available at www.wisc2014.uni-frankfurt.de. The call is also included herewith in order to facilitate its further distribution. Proposals for papers, panels and roundtables can be submitted via the conference registration system until 30 November 2013 at https://www.conftool.com/wisc2014/.

WISC is the only professional network of International Studies with a genuinely international profile due to its 26 members representing national and regional International Studies organizations. Yet WISC is also a relatively young organization. The success of its most important activity, the Global Conference which takes place every three years, crucially depends on the support of its members.

We would very much appreciate if you could forward this announcement and the call to your professional networks and contacts.  Your proposal for panels and roundtables will be included in this list if it reaches us at wisc2014@soz.uni-frankfurt.de by 25 October 2013 at the latest.

Please include the following information for each panel or roundtable to be sponsored in the name of your organization:

- title or theme of the respective panel/roundtable. This can, but need not, include an abstract;

- name, affiliation and e-mail address of the respective colleague from your organization volunteering to organize the panel or roundtable. This individual could also serve as chair and/or participant in the respective panel or roundtable.

Although we cannot guarantee this at this point in time there is a possibility that we might be able to cover transportation to/from Frankfurt and possibly even provide lodging and per diem for this colleague. (We are currently applying for a grant but will not know until the end of the year whether it will be approved).

Please note that all panels and roundtables have to be submitted eventually via the conference registration system at https://www.conftool.com/wisc2014/ and that the Programme Committee reserves the right to approve any and all proposals for papers and panels.

Deadline:

30 November 2013: Submission of all proposals for papers, panels and roundtables via the conference registration system at https://www.conftool.com/wisc2014/.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any question or suggestion.

We are looking forward to meeting you in Frankfurt next year!
