On April 3, 2018, Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and Dmitry Trenin, RIAC Member, Director of Carnegie Moscow Center, had a meeting at the residence of the French Ambassador with Alexis Lamek, Director of the Political Section of the United Nations, International Organizations, Human Rights and Francophonie Department, visiting Russia for official consultations.

On April 3, 2018, Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and Dmitry Trenin, RIAC Member, Director of Carnegie Moscow Center, had a meeting at the residence of the French Ambassador with Alexis Lamek, Director of the Political Section of the United Nations, International Organizations, Human Rights and Francophonie Department, visiting Russia for official consultations.

The following issues were discussed in the course of the meeting: current relations between Russia and the West, Syrian conflict resolution, and the upcoming visit of the French President Emmanuel Macron to Russia.

The meeting was mediated by Sylvie Bermann, French Ambassador to Russia. The French Embassy staff and the representatives of French MFA also took part in the meeting.
