On October 13, 2017 Russian International Affairs Council held the 24th regular session of its Presidium. RIAC programs and work plan before the end of 2017 were approved.

On October 13, 2017 Russian International Affairs Council held the 24th regular session of its Presidium. RIAC programs and work plan before the end of 2017 were approved.

The Council welcomed the following new individual members:

  • Feodor Voitolovsky, Director Institute of World Economy and International Relations of Russian Academy of Sciences, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
  • Valery Garbuzov, Doctor of History, director of Institute for the U.S. and Canadian Studies at Russian Academy of Sciences;

  • Veniamin Popov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Director of the Center for the Partnership of Civilizations at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Coordinator of the Russia – Islamic World group;

  • Ruslan Pukhov, Director of the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (CAST), RIAC expert;

  • Sergey Sanakoyev, President of the Russian-Chinese analytical Center;

  • Leonid Slutsky, member of the State Duma of Russia, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs;

  • Anton Khlopkov, Director, Center for Energy and Security Studies (CENESS), Editor-in-Chief of Nuclear Club journal, Member of Advisory Board of the Russian Security Council.
