In today's fast paced world where life is speedy people get very little time to look after them selves and hence adopting a very busy and sometime adverse life style. There are several other factors like dis-balance in personal relation, financial problems, social circumstances which leads to many Psychological Problems which later aggravate to Psychosomatic Problems. I tried to also understand what is his opinions when people start believing an impact of supernatural powers which actually is result of Psychosomatic problems.
Read this very interesting interview with Prof(Dr) Nabhit Kapur:
1- What is your background sir and how you decided to adopt this profession?
I come from a business family wherein psychology was not known when I opted for it. I started studying psychology in class 11th( senior secondary). At that time it was the new subject introduced in schools. So being Curious I opted for this and liked it so much that went to study higher education in this.

2- What kind of qualification, honors and awards you are bestowed upon?
I did my bachelors masters and doctorate in psychology, psychotherapy and neuroscience. With my course of education I also did my training in various hospitals, NGo etc. coming to awards and recognition, there are many amd majorly from Africa like africa. Peace laureate, Ghana peace prize, World habitat leader etc. these awards are given for my due course of making psychology a housekeeper in every part of the world. I am glad to everyone and every organisation for trusting me and bestowing there love on me.

3- For our global readers please tell how a Psychotherapist or Psychiatrist deals with those disorders which are also see as effect of ill supra mental powers by many superstitious people? On a personal level do you believe in all this? How Psychology defines it?
First of all psychotherapist and psychiatrist are a total different profession. A therapist deals with the therapeutic way of dealing with a disorder while a psychiatrist uses Medicare to deal with it. But the lines are pretty blurred on this matter hence corrective measures need to be taken. I personally do believe in these supernatural phenomena as I feel it does exist. What we cannot see doesn’t mean it’s not there.

4- Being an acclaimed Psychotherapist how do you define those disorders which leaves somatic impact and people starts believing that its affect of supernatural powers?
They are nothing but the perception about the disorder. Any disorder definitely leaves a mark behind hence making a clear cognitive distinction is important.
5- How do you treat your patients?
I don’t call them patients, they are clients. Treatment varies in degrees and marks and sessions. A simple case like just a session to understand your own interest or aptitude might be just a one hour session but a server case like cognitive blocks due to anxiety is a long term process. In all these sessions various techniques are used like therapies, psychometric anyakiss, observations etc. but all these techniques also depends when they are to be used. The sessions are again classified in degrees.

6- As an established practitioner what do you think, why such cases of Psychological disorders like stress, depression etc increasing in our Society?
A simple reason i feel is the need to make people know about these symptoms before they arise, something which I have termed “psychological first aid” which is important and should be mandatory for every person. We humans do not cater to our problems in initial stages and we wait till the problem is aggrevated. The concept of first aid lends support to all in terms of knowledge and skill to deal with any stemming psychological issue like anxiety, sadness, tension at the beginning level before it takes a toll. It is something like a peer support.

7- How do you see future of Psychology,Psychotherapy and Psychiatry?
Again psychiatry is a different thing which is already running and blooming. What we need to work on is the status of psychological sciences and psychotherapy. Many of people confuse between the medical and non medical field. There has to be a proper way in which even psychology is made aware to people and the perception of psychological sciences is made accessible to people. Psychologist are as important to people and some times even more than a psychiatrist because they are the one who will deal in the depth of any issue engraved in the psyche of the person whereas medicine works superficially.
